History of Wildlife Management Technologies Wildlife Management Technologies was created in 2005 as the new owner and operator of Quail Restoration Technologies and Pheasant Restoration Technologies. Significant history comes to Wildlife Management Technologies from the original Quail Restoration Technologies. Nearly a decade of research has been used to develop the products currently available from Wildlife Management Technologies. This research has focused on significantly increasing quail and pheasant populations on any given property, both through quality habitat improvement techniques and products that create opportunities for upland game birds to thrive. The result of these efforts will provide huntable quail and pheasant populations on your property. Quail Restoration Technologies has over 20 years experience in hunting ranch management providing consulting services and products to some of the finest hunting ranches in the United States and Mexico. This rich experience has allowed us the opportunity to experiment with nearly every known technique of native bird restoration through habitat management, predator control, supplemental feeding and restocking through the use of released birds. Having released hundreds of thousands of birds in front of hunters, this experience taught us something crucial: None of these techniques had any lasting effect on establishing a permanent population. Through the experience of failing techniques the theory of Surrogate Propagation was born. The success of this new patented system was immediate and exciting. Years have been spent experimenting and researching native and pen-raised birds; testing equipment, habitat management and effective predator control.
